Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) Officers lead diverse teams of technical and non-technical professionals in support of Military Treatment Facilities (MTF), operational and headquarters mission requirements for the Navy and Marine Corps.
 
  • MTF Chief Information Officers (CIO) ensure operation and readiness of networks and information systems needed to support healthcare delivery mission.
  • IM/IT Officers in a joint environment develop and lead enterprise IT solutions for DHA, including the Military Health System (MHS) Genesis program which is the modern electronic health record that provides a single health record for Service members, veterans, and their families.
  • Operational IM/IT Officers ensure mission critical communications across CENTCOM, AFRICOM, and NORTHCOM for Expeditionary Medical Forces (EMF) and hospital ships.
  • Officers receive training and education in cybersecurity and network operations from NPS through Master and Ph.D. programs.
