     Captain Aaron J. Frank

Captain Frank received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas followed by his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine Degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. He completed residency at the Veterans Administration Maryland Health Care System and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business.
After receiving his commission through the Health Services Collegiate Program, he completed Officer Development School at Newport, Rhode Island, and transitioned to Naval Health Clinic New England for his first tour. Captain Frank then headed to U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa and while stationed in Okinawa he provided operational coverage to the Western Pacific Medical Alliance and was recognized as one of the top five providers in Navy Medicine.
 
Following Okinawa Captain Frank was a plank owner at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) in North Chicago, Illinois and shortly after reporting on-board, was selected as the interim Director for Administration. During this tour he was also appointed to serve as the Navy Specialty Leader for Podiatry.
 
After FHCC, he transferred to Naval Hospital Beaufort, South Carolina where he directed the implementation of the BUMED small hospital study and served as activation manager for the Joint Incentive Fund dermatology clinic. He departed Beaufort to attend Army Command and General Staff College residency course in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas as student section leader.
 
Captain Frank returned to U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa where he was elected Vice Chair, Medical Executive Committee and then served as the Director for Health Care Business. His follow-on tour was Officer-In-Charge, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit in Fort Worth, Texas. He then headed back to the Pacific serving at U.S. Naval Hospital Guam as Director for Medical Services and is excited to join U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella as the Executive Officer.
 
Captain Frank is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. His awards include Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Air and Space Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other personal and unit awards. Captain Frank and his wife Crista have four children.
