Bahrain

The Bahrain Clinic is the most forward deployed clinic of U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella, Italy. We are responsible for providing care to Naval Support Activity Bahrain, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Commander Fifth Fleet, and 147 tenant commands. We also provide primary care delivery to more than 5,000 beneficiaries ashore and provide medical support to more than 15,000 fleet Sailors, Marines, and other DoD personnel operating in the Central Command theatre. All inpatient care is provided by local, host nation facilities and must be coordinated by the TRICARE Referral Office. The Naval Branch Health Clinic has established partnerships with local hospitals through the International SOS, also known as ISOS. These partnerships make up our local Preferred Network.

If you get injured off-base and need to be seen immediately, we recommend that you go to one of the preferred hospitals. If it is an emergency on base dial 4911, if dialing from a DSN line. If you are dialing from a Bahrain cellphone or local landline the emergency number is +973-1785-4911.

If you are near the clinic afterhours and experience an emergency there is an emergency phone at the entrance to the clinic that dials directly to dispatch on base, who will notify the ambulance service. If you are not sure if you need to be seen immediately, you can always call the Nurse Advice Line. The number for the Nurse Advice line is +973-8000-0453.
