Curriculum Management manages the End-to-End (E2E) life cycle of specific medical training courses and programs by providing oversight and support to outlying commands, curriculum approval authority for "A" and "C" schools, and formalized training at Navy Medicine’s Learning Centers (LCs): Navy Medicine Leader & Professional Development Center (NMLPDC); Medical Education and Training Campus (METC); and Navy Medicine and Operational Training Command (NMOTC).
The E2E process uses the comprehensive and systematic the PADDIE+M methodology to Plan, Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate and, and conduct Life-Cycle Maintenance of Navy Medicine training programs, ensuring students of Navy Medicine programs receive high-quality training that keeps pace with current medical advancements and operational requirements.
People
Assists with Accreditation/Reaffirmation processes conducted by the Council on Occupational Education (COE), Uniformed Services University College of Allied Health Science (USU-CAHS) and The American Council on Education (ACE). Provide guidance and coordination to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance standards and policies for training, ensuring students gain the necessary skills that enable them to be successful in their careers. Communicate with BUMED, Enlisted Technical Leaders, Specialty Leaders, and Corps Chief Offices, to research and facilitate competency development for all Medical ratings and specialties. Ensure training pipeline integration of the knowledge, skills, and abilities that the Fleet requires for mission accomplishment, professional development, education, certifications and qualification.
Platforms
Collaborate with BUMED N-codes, Corps Chief Offices, Enlisted Technical Leaders, Specialty Leaders, and training commands on manpower and personnel issues for the officer and enlisted communities. Liaise with subject matter experts and other program stake holders to ensure training is Ready and Relevant to the needs of the Fleet.
Performance
Provide subject matter experts to serve on the test writing boards for enlisted advancement exams. Serve as Navy Medicine Master Training Specialist (MTS) Program Executive Agent. Providing oversight of MTS requirements and issuing MTS certification to all qualified applicants within the NMFDC AOR. . Ensure the E2E process is followed in the development of all Navy Medicine training programs, to include the curriculum review and instructional design.
Power
Develop and publish Rate Training Manuals (s) (RTM) reflective of the most current Occupational Standards, providing a ready resource for development of advancement test questions and study guides. Represents Navy Medicine in the Inter-service Training Review Organization (ITRO) development and management of Joint Service medical training courses.
