Education Operations manages student movement through medical training programs , manages student records and liaises with the Interservice Training Office (ITRO) regarding Joint Service training. Additionally, the department ensures programs/courses meet requirements to maintain programatic accreditation for specific courses and institutional accreditation the the Council on Occupational Education (COE).


REGISTRAR FUNCTIONS
Maintains training records and is the primary source verifier for Navy Medicine Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs including the Navy Nurse Corps Anesthetist Programs (NNCAP prior to 2011) that have closed

American Council on Education (ACE) Coordinator for Navy Medicine programs not affiliated with USU-CAHS

Liaise with the Joint Services Transcript (JST) office. Official JSTs can be obtained at https://jst.doded.mil.jst/

Affiliated Agencies
Council on Occupational Education (COE) [external link]
The COE is an institutional accrediting agency for occupational training programs that assures “quality and integrity in career and technical education.” Programs under the purview of NMFDC and its subordinate commands undergo stringent reviews to ensure students receive training of the highest quality. NMFDC and it subordinate commands celebrate over 35 years of COE accreditation!

American Council on Education (ACE) [external link]
ACE reviews training and education programs and makes recommendations for college credit equivalencies that apply to service members’ Joint Service Transcripts. Students that graduate from courses or programs reviewed by ACE can receive recognition of their training by requesting college transfer credits be applied to degree programs at institutions of higher learning.

College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) [external link
CAHS is the undergraduate arm of USU and is affiliated with certain programs within the NMFDC subordinate commands as well as the METC. These Navy Medicine enlisted training programs offer college transcripts and degree paths for affiliated programs.
