Acting CMC - HMCM Xavier Guy

Master Chief Hospital Corpsman Xavier Guy is a native of Columbus, Georgia, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1998.

Following completion of basic military training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL and graduating Dental Technician “A” school August 1998, he reported to Naval Dental Clinic Parris Island, SC.

He has served on several operational sea duty assignments including USS Nassau (LHA-4), Expeditionary Combat Readiness Command Kuwait, USS New Orleans (LPD-18), and Fleet Surgical Team 3 embarked on USS Boxer (LHD-4) and USS Essex (LHD-2).  His previous shore tours include Naval Dental Canter Parris Island, SC, Naval Dental Center Naples, Italy, Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan, Naval Medical Center San Diego Balboa Hospital, Naval Hospital Bremerton, and Naval Medical Readiness and Training Command Pensacola.

Presently, he is assigned to Naval Medical Forces Development Command.

Guy holds a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security Public Safety from Vincennes University, master’s degree in Disaster Preparedness Emergency management from Arkansas State University and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 236).  He has earned warfare designators, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Warfare Specialist.  His awards include Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various other campaign and unit awards.
