Congratulations on your orders to the largest and finest Optical Fabrication Enterprise (OFE) in the United States armed forces, Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command - Naval Ophthalmic Readiness Activity (NORA).

When NMRLC - NORA receives confirmation of your assignment to one of our Optical Fabrication Labs (OFLs), we will forward you a "Welcome Aboard" package, which will include a letter from the NORA Director and your assigned sponsor. The package will also include information from the Fleet and Family Services Center and material about the local area if you are reporting to the Yorktown Detachment. For reporting Navy staff, if you have not received a welcome aboard package, or if you would like to contact the Command Sponsor Coordinator, click here to send them an email.

 

When you arrive in the Hampton Roads area, contact your sponsor. If you need transportation from the airport to NORA Yorktown, call your sponsor or the NORA Duty Officer at 757-870-4672 and transportation will be arranged for you. Upon arrival, report to the Admin Division or if arriving after working hours, report the next duty day to have your orders endorsed. If reporting to a NMRLC - Det NORA outside of the Hampton Roads Area coordinate through that OFL's LPO.
