Chief Master-at-Arms (SW/AW) Jack Coon

Chief Master-at-Arms Jack Coon enlisted in the United States Navy on March 29, 2005.  Following recruit training at Great Lakes Chicago, Coon reported to Master-at-Arms “A” School, at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated in the summer of 2005.
Coon’s first assignment was MCSF Kings Bay, Georgia.  While at Kings Bay, he advanced to petty officer 3rd class and served as Alpha Squad Leader.  He was honored to be hand-selected as the first Master-at-Arms to participate in the Tartan Eagle exercise held in Scotland with the Royal Marines.  While training Coon participated and won the annual Marine Corps Challenge in 2007.
Coon was assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) from 2008-2012, advancing to petty officer 2nd class in 2008.  While onboard he was selected as Junior Sailor of the Year in 2010.
In 2012, Coon transferred to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam where he served as the Assistant Anti-Terrorism Officer.
He advanced to master-at-arms chief on September 16, 2015, then was assigned to Commander Fleet Activities Security Department where he served as the Security Training Chief.
He was stationed at Naval Undersea Warfare Center AUTEC Andros Island Bahamas in 2018 where he served as the Security Departments Leading Chief Petty Officer.
Since 2021, Coon has been assigned to NAMRU SOUTH as the Senior Enlisted Leader.
His personal awards include The Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (3 awards), the Air Force Achievement Meda and various unit and campaign awards.
