CAPT Darryl P. Arfsten, MSC, USN

Captain Darryl P. Arfsten hails from Springfield, Illinois and earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University, a Masters in Toxicology from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. He is a prior member of both the Illinois and Maryland Army National Guard serving 13 years as an active drilling Guardsman. Captain Arfsten received a direct commission into the US Navy as a Lieutenant as a biochemist in the Medical Service Corps in December of 2000.

CAPT John J. Devlin, MC, USN
CAPT Devlin earned his BS from Virginia Military Institute where he was a four-year varsity letterman and member of the regimental staff. He earned his MD from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed residency training in emergency medicine at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP). CAPT Devlin completed fellowship training in medical toxicology at the Emory University / Georgia Poison Center / Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) program where he worked within the Office of Environmental Health Emergencies and conducted field work for the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). He is qualified as an Undersea Medical Officer (UMO), Submarine Medical Officer (SMO), Fleet Marine Force Medical Officer, and Advanced Parachutist.

HMCM (SW/AW/IW/FMF) Francesco (Frank) J. Maccarelli

Master Chief Maccarelli was born in Brooklyn, New York on 31 July 1977. He entered the Navy on 20 February 1996. After completing boot camp, Hospital Corps "A" School and Field Medical Service School in December 1996, he reported to 3rd Marine Air Wing, El Toro, California.
