POPULATION HEALTH DIRECTORATE

We optimize and support Force Health Protection and Readiness by providing epidemiologic services in support of the Navy's disease and injury prevention programs, analyzing clinical data and providing feedback on quality and availability of care. We also provide health promotion and wellness programs and services to prevent illness, enhance readiness, and promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles..

Currently, neither mpox testing nor treatment are readily available in a forward deployed operational setting. Units should identify suspected cases, isolate them, and move them for care at an MTF when operationally feasible.
