(Nov. 28, 2017) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Alexanderia Artis, from Naval Hospital Jacksonville (NHJ), and Navy Medicine East's (NME) Regional Senior Sailor of the Year for 2017. NME is one of only two regional commands with oversight of Navy Medicine's delivery of care to the Navy and Marine Corps family. It oversees the delivery of medical, dental and other health care services to approximately one million patients across almost 100 facilities-including the Tidewater Military Health System which brings together McDonald Army Health Center, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and U.S. Air Force Hospital Langley.
