220511-N-LI114-1094 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 11, 2022) Cmdr. Tiffany Uranga, nurse anesthetist, from Imperial Beach, California teaches Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Ralston Tulloch, from New York, how to treat a simulated casualty in the main battle dressing station during a mass casualty drill aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Mass casualty drills are designed to simulate a mass casualty event where firefighting and medical response teams train in unison to keep the ship mission ready. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
