SILVER SPRING, Md. (Feb. 10, 2023) Dr. Hua Wei Chen, a research scientist with Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), receives training for the Military Health System GENESIS. The training familiarizes clinicians and diagnostic lab personnel with the new military health record system, which will replace the legacy system when it goes live this Spring. In support of the Navy, Marine Corps, and joint U.S. warfighters, NMRC researchers study infectious diseases, biological warfare detection and defense, combat casualty care, environmental health concerns, aerospace and undersea medicine, medical modeling, simulation, operational mission support, epidemiology and behavioral sciences.
