LCDR Claire Smith, assistant officer-in-charge of Naval Expeditionary Medical Training Insitute (NEMTI) demonstrates skills and techniques of the in-field patient care based on the learned experiences with the students of En-route Care System (ERCS) and Emergency Resuscitative Surgical System (ERSS) courses. ERCS is one of the Navy’s expeditionary medicine capabilities that provides a ready, rapidly deployable and combat effective medical forces to improve survivability across the full spectrum of care, regardless of environment. and revised provides uninterrupted care during patient movement from the point of injury (POI) through Role 4 care without clinically compromising the patient's condition.
