TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. — Rear Adm. Matthew Case (center-left), Chief of the Navy Medical Service Corps, visits Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Twentynine Palms, July 30, 2025. The two-star admiral’s visit centered on celebrating the MSC’s’ legacy while addressing the challenges and responsibilities ahead for both Navy Medicine and the Defense Health Agency as a whole. During a traditional cake-cutting ceremony, Rear Adm. Case, the most senior MSC officer present, joined Lt. j.g. David Naiman (center-right), the youngest MSC officer, along with commanding officer Capt. Janiese Cleckley (left) and the director for administration Cmdr. William “Bill” Lawson (right), to cut the ceremonial birthday cake together — marking 78 years of the Medical Service Corps. The visit also included facility tours, leadership engagements, and an all-hands MSC officers call highlighting the Corps’ ongoing commitment to medical readiness and support of the warfighter (U.S. Navy photo by Christopher Jones, NMRTC/NH public affairs officer).
