(Feb. 23, 2026) Douglas Jones, principal investigator for Naval Health Research Center’s (NHRC) Environmental & Thermal Physiology team, discuss the ongoing cold-water immersion study with military personnel, ensuring the execution and prioritization of safety for the military participants. Through its cold-water immersion studies, NHRC develops life-saving strategies that enable the warfighter to overcome the initial, lethal shock of entering frigid water.
