Many different products are available to consumers that contain tobacco or deliver nicotine. Products gaining in popularity include hookah, cigars, and electronic devices such as e-cigarettes. They come in a wide variety of flavors and prices, and in some cases, can be used where traditional tobacco products such as cigarettes or dip cannot. The health effects of tobacco are well understood; there is no safe level of tobacco use and no safe tobacco product. Products such as electronic cigarettes (also known by terms such as electronic nicotine delivery systems and e-cigarettes) have known short-term health effects.
