 Master Chief Petty Officer Wasim S. Mohamed

A native of Irving, Texas, Master Chief Petty Officer Wasim S. Mohamed enlisted in the Navy in February 1998. Following graduation from basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Hospital Corpsman (HM) A School. He later graduated from Fleet Marine Force Training in Delmar, California. Master Chief Mohamed afloat and overseas tours include Naval Special Warfare Group TWO Logistics Support Unit, SEAL Team EIGHT, USS FARRAGUT (DDG 99), USS DEWERT (FFG 45), NSA Souda Bay, Greece, 3rd Medical Battalion Camp Hansen Okinawa, Japan, and Individual Augmentee assigned to Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Ashore tours include Naval Branch Health Clinic Mayport, Florida, Independent Duty Corpsman School San Diego, California, Branch Health Clinic Quantico, Virginia, Pharmacy Technician School Portsmouth, Virginia. His last assignment was Expeditionary Strike Group Seven Detachment Sasebo, Japan.

Master Chief Mohamed is designated Surface Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, and Fleet Marine Force. He is authorized to wear the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (6th Award), Army Commendation, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.

He is married to the former Christine Shiwji from Queens, New York. Together they have three wonderful children Dimitri, and twin girls Angelina and Julianna.
