CMDCM (FMF/AW) Wayne M. George

Command Master Chief (Fleet Marine Force/Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist), Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command, Camp Pendleton

Master Chief George is a native of Bloomfield, New Mexico. He enlisted in 1994 and attended Recruit Training at Great Lakes, Illinois before reporting to RP A School in Meridian, Mississippi. After completing RP A School, he reported to Marine Corps School of Infantry/Marine Combat Training, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, earning the prestigious title of Honor Graduate.

He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University. He is a Graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 224 (Khaki) and CMC/COB Course Class 20070.

Master Chief George’s sea duty assignments include: 1st Marine Division Det., Twentynine Palms, CA, with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment; 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment. 1st Force Service Support Group, Camp Pendleton, CA; 1st Marine Logistics Group, Camp Pendleton, CA. 1st Marine Division Headquarters, Camp Pendleton, CA; I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, CA; and Strike Fighter Squadron TWO, Naval Air Station, Lemoore, CA.

Master Chief George’s shore assignments include: Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, CA; Naval Medical Center San Diego, San Diego, CA; Commander, Navy Region Southwest, San Diego, CA; and Marine Corps. Installations West - Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA.

He assumed his current position as CMC onboard NMRTC, Camp Pendleton, CA in October 2022.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary & Service Medals and various other unit and campaign awards.
