Master Chief Hospital Corpsman Sandra Go-Lubiano was born and grew up in the Cagayan Valley, Philippines. Her family migrated to California, USA in June 2002. She began her Naval career on 12 August 2003 at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois followed by Hospital “A” School in Great Lakes, Illinois.

In March 2004, she reported to her first duty station at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda MD, currently known as Walter Reed Medical Center. She was assigned as General Duty Corpsman in Military Family Health Clinic, Intensive Care Unit, and Manpower Office. She was also selected to serve with the Medical Evaluation and Treatment Unit Team, responsible for providing direct care to the President of the United States. She advanced from Hospitalman to Petty Officer Second Class during this tour.

In January 2007, she attended Field Medical Service School (FMSS), Camp Lejeune, NC and reported to 3D Medical Battalion, Okinawa, Japan. From 2007 to 2010, she served as Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsman, Education Services Officer, and S-1 Assistant Leading Petty Officer. She earned her Enlisted FMF Warfare Specialist qualification and advanced to Petty Officer First Class.

In May 2010, she reported to Naval Dental Center, Camp Pendleton, CA and was assigned as the Leading Petty Officer of 13 Area Dental Clinic. She was promoted to Chief Petty Officer on 16 September 2012 and became Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) for 52 and 62 Area Dental Clinic.

In April 2012, she was then selected to be part of the Women in Combat Program, a Department of Defense initiative geared towards integrating women to combat units that were formerly limited to men. In July 2013, she reported to 3D Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3D Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan, as the Battalion LCPO and first female permanently assigned to this artillery unit. For the next 3 years, she also served as Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) for Navy Personnel and Division Surgeon’s Office, Headquarters Battalion LCPO, and Combat Assault Battalion LCPO.

In July 2016, she reported to Recruit Training Command and completed Recruit Division Commander (RDC) training and earned 8RDC NEC. From December 2016 to September 2019, she directly trained four divisions and transformed 352 civilians into highly motivated and basically trained Sailors. She led 36 Chiefs and Petty Officers in planning and receiving of 415 recruit divisions comprised of 37,000 recruits for basic training. In addition, she served as Ship’s LCPO, where she mentored 4 Naval Officers, and led 29 Chiefs and 65 Petty Officers in training 56 divisions and transformed 4,928 recruits to Sailors.

In September 2019, she reported to Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, Camp Pendleton, CA as Navy SEL and 14 Area and 13 Area Marine Centered Medical Home SEL ISO 8,000 service members across 12 commands. Her responsibilities included proper manning, training, and equipping medical personnel in support of three battalions and four companies ready to deploy with Marine Expeditionary Units and provide support to I Marine Expeditionary Force. Master Chief Go-Lubiano was selected to her current rank in May 2022.

From November 2022 to July 2025, she assumed the responsibilities as SEL for Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit Memphis, Tennessee. She led and mentored 39 enlisted Sailors, supervised 33 civilians, and advised 11 Officers to provide quality healthcare for over 4,800 beneficiaries.
On August 2025, Master Chief Go-Lubiano reported to Navy Medicine and Training Command (NMRTC) Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as Command Senior Enlisted Leader.

Master Chief Go-Lubiano’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Good Conduct Medal (seven awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various unit and campaign awards. She has received her Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist qualification, Master Training Specialist qualification, and is a graduate of Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 224. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (Journalism) from the University of the Philippines and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Maryland, University Campus. She is married to her husband Angelo Lubiano since 2005.
