GLOBAL HEALTH OPERATIONS

Purpose

Global Health Operations (GHO) collaborates with military global partners in Global Health Engagement operations to identify gaps and shortfalls in arthropod-borne disease surveillance and collects data to expand GHO knowledge and capabilities within COCOMs to help mitigate disease risk to the deployed warfighter and military personnel. GHO’s mission includes coordination and implementation of comprehensive health and pest control programs, prevention of pathogen exposure, development of curricula for vector management courses for building host-nation capacity, and reducing disease risk utilizing cutting-edge surveillance and control technologies.
