CALIBRATION LABORATORY

The NMCPHC Audiometry Calibration Laboratory provides Navy-wide support for audiometric and sound level measuring equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair. This includes calibration service for Type 1 and Type 2 sound level meters, octave band filters, acoustic calibrators and dosimeters. Repair service for audiometers and limited repair service for sound level measuring equipment; and, technical assistance for equipment operation, life cycle management and equipment replacement. Our work supports the readiness of service members and civilian employees exposed to hazardous noise. We are committed to excellence and customer service.

NOISE MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT

We calibrate a wide variety of type 1 and 2 sound level meters, noise dosimeters, acoustical calibrators, microphones, preamplifiers, and octave band filters.

HEARING SCREENING EQUIPMENT

We calibrate all of the Navy’s HCP screening audiometers. This includes the Benson Medical CCA-200mini and CCA-200 audiometers. We also calibrate clinical audiometric screening equipment on a limited basis.

We calibrate HCP Screening audiometers from all government agencies.

Currently, neither mpox testing nor treatment are readily available in a forward deployed operational setting. Units should identify suspected cases, isolate them, and move them for care at an MTF when operationally feasible.
