Mission Statement
Our mission is to Support Force Health Protection by providing evidence-based health promotion and wellness (HPW) educational resources and tools; to facilitate healthy lifestyles at the Deckplate throughout NEPMU-2's Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Purpose
NEPMU-2’s Health Promotion Division offers direct assistance to Health Promotion Program Coordinators (HPPCs), and it’s team members throughout NEPMU-2’s AOR to include HPPCs aboard U.S. Naval Surface Ships, Aircraft Carriers, Submarines, and Navy Expeditionary Forces.

Currently, neither mpox testing nor treatment are readily available in a forward deployed operational setting. Units should identify suspected cases, isolate them, and move them for care at an MTF when operationally feasible.
