The SD SSM, headquartered at Naval Medical Forces Pacific, is an integrated healthcare delivery system with south and north market areas. The south is centered around Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) and the north around Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP). 
   
The San Diego Market geographical area extends from the Mexico border to 40 miles north of Camp Pendleton, to 40 miles east of the coast along the I-15 corridor. 
 
The SD SSM healthcare delivery system is one of the largest markets within the Military Health System (MHS), serving nearly a-quarter million TRICARE Prime enrollees.
