Health Care Interservice Training Office (HC‐ITRO)
 
Background
The Healthcare Interservice Training Office (HC-ITO) provides policy and guidance for interservice training; supports DoD, Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) directives and training transformation initiatives; and facilitates medical interservice training studies/reviews.  The HC-ITO coordinates the establishment of multi-service training solutions for common training requirements, enabling the participating military Services to preserve training resources as expressed in terms of manpower, equipment, funding and facilities.
The Navy is the lead agent for the HC-ITO and the Commander, NMFSC, is the Interservice Training Review Organization Advisor for Health Care (ITRO AHC).
 
Mission
To improve effectiveness and efficiency of individual health care training, consistent with military service requirements, by standardizing instruction, eliminating duplication, and reducing costs.
