We conduct operationally relevant research to support modern special forces operators, expeditionary forces, and ground combat troops by focusing on enhancing the physical readiness and resilience our warfighters. We have three teams that conduct both individual studies and integrative research to optimize performance and build resilience.
Researchers who support our Physical Readiness & Resilience portfolio have expertise in biomechanics, physiology, neuroscience, psychology, nutrition, and hardware and software engineering.
Our physical readiness and resilience research optimizes human performance by developing strategies to increase physical and mental resilience, enhancing physical and mental skills training, defining the physical and cognitive limits of healthy warfighters, and investigating individual genetic characteristics that may buffer stress effects.
