The OHN Fundamentals Course will provide instruction on basic (routine) occupational health nursing and how it is practiced in the US Navy. The course is intended for new OHN's that do not have formal Occupational Health Nurse training or are new to the Navy Occupational Medicine program who will be practicing in an occupational medicine clinic or have significant occupational medicine-related workload. The course will cover the history of occupational medicine, workplace hazards, risk communication, Navy Occupational Health programs, worksite visits, and available resources. This is not a board review course.

14-17 JUN 2022

Tuesday-Friday: 0900-1800 EST

Location: VIRTUAL Interactive Course. Must have microphone and camera on computer or laptop in order to participate. Course will be hosted on Adobe Connect. You do not need an Adobe Connect account to participate. This platform does not require CAC access so can be used on government/personal laptops or via an app on your phone. Highly recommend course be taken in a quiet area to enhance learning for all participants.
