Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) prepares to arrive in Trincomolee, Sri Lanka, for a scheduled port visit in support of Pacific Partnership 2018 (PP18). PP18’s mission is to work collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase stability and security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships across the Indo-Pacific Region. Pacific Partnership, now in its 13th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific.

  • During his time at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Dru Calloway led a team responsible for ensuring the medical readiness of Marines assigned to the base through the collection of more than 250,000 blood and other biological samples, resulting in quick, accurate diagnoses and prompt treatment. He also led the department through two College of American Pathologists re-accreditations with a 99.9% pass rate.
