Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio

Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman Brown attended Recruit Training in March 2006 in Great Lakes, IL in March 2006. After competing recruit training, he reported to Hospital Corpsman “A” School and Dental Strand Technician School in Great Lakes.
Upon completion of Dental Strand Technician School, he reported to Naval Hospital (NH) Pensacola, Pensacola, FL in October 2006. While assigned to NH Pensacola, he had a diversity of assignments including Executive Assistant for the Officer-in-Charge. During his tour, he was advanced to Hospital Corpsman Second Class and served as Leading Petty Officer (LPO), Administration Department.
In September 2009, he transferred to USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) and serve as a general duty corpsman, LPO at sea for the Medical Division and Executive Department. He then transferred to Naval Branch Health Clinic Mayport, Jacksonville, FL in June 2012, to serve as Navy Burial at Sea Program Coordinator. During this tour, he was advanced to Hospital Corpsman First Class.  Senior Chief Brown then transferred to Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC) Portsmouth NH in August 2013, where he served as LPO of the Executive Department.  While assigned to NBHC Portsmouth, he filled various roles including acting Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) and was advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Senior Chief Brown transferred to Navy Recruiting District Miami in Tampa, FL where he served as Medical Officer Recruiter and as the Command Urinalysis Program Coordinator. On 7 July 2019, he reported to Field Medical Training Basic- East, Camp Lejeune, NC. Upon graduation, he reported directly to 12th Dental Company, 2d Dental Battalion/Naval Dental Center where he was assigned as the Senior Enlisted Leader, and Command Managed Equal Opportunity.  Senior Chief Brown reported to Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, TX in October 2022, as the LCPO for Division 3, Hospital Corpsman Basic “A” School.  While assigned there, he was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer and served as the Department LCPO of 21 Hospital Corpsman Advance “C” Schools. He was assigned temporary duty as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) San Antonio on 7 October 2024.   
Senior Chief Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration through the University of Phoenix, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Dental Assistant, active member of the Chief Petty Officer Mess, Vice President of the Chief Petty Officer Association, active member of the American College of Health Care Executives, and American Legion volunteer.
He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 250 and is qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) and Enlisted Fleet Marine Warfare Specialist (FMF). His awards include the Navy and Marine Commendation Medal (5 awards); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6 awards); and various unit and campaign awards.
