M34 Expeditionary Preventive Medicine

The mission of the EPM Department is to maintain the highest level of personnel, training and equipment readiness in order to rapidly deploy Unit personnel in support of operational forces worldwide mission.  The function of EPM department is to ensure maximum readiness of NEPMU-6 personnel in preparation for any military deployments and public health consultation during a disaster relief or humanitarian assistance contingencies. This includes the capabilities of the Forward Deployed Preventive Medicine Unit (FDPMU6), which is accomplished through training, logistics, equipment acquisition and overall maintenance.

Immunization

• Train, equip and deploy members of the Forward Deployable Preventive Medicine Unit (FDPMU).
• Review and ensure the highest level of Unit medical readiness.
• Assist in mobilization of personnel and equipment in support the operational forces.
• Participate, coordinate and collaborate with regional COCOM and sister Services to support regional theater security cooperations and health engagements.
• Coordinate CANTRAC training and specific Operational and Unit level trainings.
