DOEHRS-HC/DR

The Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System-Hearing Conservation (DOEHRS-HC) system helps us collect, maintain, compare and report hearing readiness, deployment and hearing conservation program data for Navy personnel. DOEHRS-HC helps us conduct automated baseline, annual, pre- and post-deployment hearing tests, incorporate tri-service business practices and perform objective hearing test calculations, and interpret hearing test results.

There are many benefits to the Military Health System that DOEHRS-HC brings, including:

  • Assisting in the prevention of hearing loss by detecting early decreases in hearing.
  • Monitoring hearing readiness and follow-up test requirements.
  • Documenting individual hearing ability and assisting with local and service-wide hearing readiness and hearing conservation program management.

Clinicians

Clinical guidance, including recognition, management and clinical isolation guidance are generally covered by CDC: CDC Clinical Overview

Clinical management for Fleet medical personnel can be found in the NMCFHPC Fleet Mpox Medical Guidance

Clinical guidance for MTFs can be found in the DHA Mpox Guidance Update_5Sept2024

Currently, neither mpox testing nor treatment are readily available in a forward deployed operational setting. Units should identify suspected cases, isolate them, and move them for care at an MTF when operationally feasible.
