What is Oral Medicine?

 
Oral Medicine is the specialty of dentistry concerned with the oral health care of medically compromised patients and with the diagnosis and non-surgical management of medically related disorders or conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial region.

For the General Practitioner


All practitioners within the Military Healthcare System are invited to call the Specialty Leader/Chairman at 301-295-4013 for eligible beneficiary patient consultations, and/or advice or information concerning the evaluation and dental treatment of patients with suspected Oral Medicine issues, to include oral lesions, complex pharmacological therapy or systemic disease.
