LIFE AFTER AN AMPUTATION
The Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) recognizes the importance for Sailors and Marines who have been injured to reintegrate back into their lives whether it’s a return to their respective commands or transition to civilian life. Adjustment to changes of the body involves not only physical determination but also emotional and spiritual strength. NMCPHC is here to provide readily available information and service resources in support of these efforts for service members, family members, care givers and friends. Recreation and adaptive sports, nutrition, active living, sleep, and emotional well-being are a few examples of what are available.
